About Primary School
A primary school from kindergarden level to fifth class is being run for poor children of slum areas . The medium of instruction is Hindi . The students are picked up by lady volunteers from slum areas and they are provided books , bags and uniform free of cost. The tution fee of students is very nominal and even free for very poor deserving students.
Apart from normal courses of learning ,they are also taught music, hand embroidery and other skills. Senior students are also provided training to operate desktop . The campus has a playground with activity kits for children’s play, games & sports. There are separate toilets for boys and girls . In addition , medical check-up (dental, eyes and general health) of children is being carried out periodically by medical wing of CARTE. Although school infrastructure is of modest standard. yet every effort is made to maintain a high standard of education including moral learning. Adequate attention is paid on grooming children for good social behavior and personality development. Rural development
CARTE is recognized by Central Government as a Mother NGO for Mother And Child Care in Villages and has been handling project in this field. CARTE had carried out government sponsored projects for comprehensive development of selected villages and propagation of new technologies of agriculture, horticulture , floriculture , cultivation of medical plants and other fields in the past . CARTE promotes self-reliance among women by imparting training to them in knitting , tailoring , use of computers and other skills.

CARTE had taken up social development projects discussed above over the entire country and has successfully carried out research and monitoring projects, down south in kerala, in disturbed areas like Bastar, in Chattisgarh and Garhwa in Bihar and in many other states.CARTE had in past Centres at Nagpur in Maharashtra, Ranchi in Jharkhand and Muzaffarpur in Bihar.
